Our client is seeking a Test Technician to join their established team based in Crowborough.
You will be responsible for:-
• Inspection / Test / Calibration Carrying out inspection / test and calibration as detailed in the company's procedures and any additional tests detailed in contract specific test procedures.
• Carrying out witness inspections, where called for under specific contract requirements.
• Dealing with customers and their representatives in a competent and diplomatic manner.
• Planning and organising the test and calibration area with the varying work load.
• Liaising with the Manager and Team Leader, arranging available resources in terms of materials, tooling, manpower and equipment.
• Ensuring that all relevant equipment is correctly used and maintained in a serviceable condition.
• Maintaining good housekeeping standards within the area and to comply with Health, Safety & Environmental legislation.
• Assisting with the training, motivation and development of members of the team.
• Producing and maintaining all the necessary records relating to inspection, test and calibration. Recording defects as necessary.
• Assisting the production assembly where necessary or as directed by Team Leader / Manager
• Completion of regulatory training.
The successful applicant must have proven experience of test and calibration within a manufacturing environment, with a sound knowledge of relevant manufacturing processes. You will possess excellent communication skills and be able to liaise at all levels.
